There is only a handful of people who cares for the old. In some societies, specially in our socity, many people seem to have lost some sense of what the old can offer the youngest. And they are been kicked off from their homes very often. I can tell you, more than 80% of the older people are suffering and are in need of more and better home care. I call all Maldivian families to take good care of the older people, specially for your Parents and grandparents. They are the ones who sacrificed alot for you. So treat them well. Don’t break their hearts. The government can also help with this growing problem by consulting the older people on what type of health and social services they need and help them.
