Unless the world starts taking climate change seriously and cuts greenhouse emissions, Maldives could become uninhabitable this century. President Gayoom has been telling the world for 20 years that his cluster of 1,200 islands dotted across 500 miles off sea of southern India is imperiled by climate change. "Time is running out for us," President Gayoom told Reuters in an interview. "Global warming and sea-level rise pose a clear and present danger for the Maldives and its people." United Nations climate panel has been forecasting world sea levels likely to rise by up to 59 cm (2 ft) by 2100 due to global warming. Read the Full Article Here>> Click Here to Read More..

I can't believe that I have spend over 20 days in Male’. Yeah i’m back in Sri Lanka guys. I have spent the past 3 weeks in Male’ and have seen afew interesting things. Nothing special about the development of the country but surely the rates of violent crime and property crime have reached to 15 per day which tell us crime rates have reached to its highest ever recorded. My stay in Male’ was quite boring: my dad’s working on a newly building resort in GaafuAlifu Atoll and there were only me, my mom and my little bro and sis there at home. And things got worse since its Ramadan. but look at the bright side: in Male', they make all sorts of delecious foods for the break-fast time in the holy month of Ramadan. too bad i'm gonna miss my moms home made food for awhile. :( Click Here to Read More..
Did you know that MPAA and RIAA are always setting traps for pirates to get caught of downloading copyright materials? I didn’t know that until I read one article from TorrentFreak. The anti-piracy organizations can easily trace you when they upload a very popular .torrent file to some popular torrent tracker site. When you download the .torrent file and load it, your bittorrent client will start connecting to the anti-piracy organizations trackers. That’s when they record your IP address and can possible get in touch with you for downloading copyrighted materials!
This is a very scary trap because I know a lot of people who knows how to download from bittorrent but don’t know anything about peer, leecher, tracker and etc… In short, they don’t know how bittorrent works but they know that by waiting for days, the download will complete and they get what they want.
Here’s how you can know if the Torrent or Tracker is fake.
Fenopy has created a Fake Finder page that lists the most popular fake torrents and the latest fake trackers. It also allows you to search for fake torrents by keyword or infohash.
I took a look at the whole list of all fake torrents and the filename looks pretty real. There’s no way you can know whether the torrent is fake or not unless it’s listed on Fenopy Fake Finder list.
If you’re using uTorrent, here’s how to check which tracker are you connecting to.
After loading torrent file to your bittorrent client, look at the “General” tab and you’ll see “Tracker URL”.
If the tracker URL is listed on Fenopy Fake Finder, please, don’t even start downloading it!

I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Ramadan. Unfortunately this Ramazan came to us with distracting news of the 8.2 Richter scale earth quake. But Insha Allah it didn’t create an enormous tsunami. After the shocking news of last night, we All are fasting here in Maldives. And honestly I’m very happy to be fasting… One month of no bitching, cursing and many other things we do. It's not about starving yourself, but truly a test of self-control as said in the holy Quran. Well, I am not that religious but this time I am going to but all my mistakes behind me and will ensure that in this Ramazan, there will be a big change in me. Click Here to Read More..
My Apologies for not updating the Blog for the past 4 days. Well, I am in Maldives visiting my family and I am distracted from my blog due to constraints with time and obligations to my family. My dad took a project from a newly building resort from GaafuAlifu Atoll and my mom has been living very lonely for the past 2 months. But I can tell you she’s very happy to have me back. :D Anyways I’ll try my best to update it very often. Thanks for visiting my blog! :)

People see weird things everywhere. And miracles do occur. I have seen alot of fishes, clouds and and other things, saying ALLAH, or MUHAMMAD (Peace and Blessings be upon him) on them. But than it was pictures from other foriegn countries. However, this time we (Maldivians) have witnessed the miracle ourselves. It seems that a local fishing dhoni has discovered a fish with markings on its stomatch that spelt the word Allah in Arabic. Hmmm... this sounds interesting huh. Here is a sketch of our President H.E. President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. I have used a normal drawing pencil and the jacket has been photoshopped.
I don’t support President Maumon personally but i can tell you the opposition leaders are worse. And its a shame whats happening to this once upon a time peaceful place. We all are blaming all this on one side and i think both are to be blamed.
“We don’t want to see this place turning into another Iraq, so all of you dirty politicians please stop this crap at once”

Free climbing Frenchman Alain Robert... just awesome.. In front of a crowd of about 100,000, 'Spider-man' Alain Robert made it to the top of Abu Dhabi's tallest building, the 185m Investment Authority, without any safety gear. The 44-year-old, who suffers from vertigo, used tiny slots in the concrete for purchase. you gotta check this out.. I have posted some pics of this in my news blog. Click Here to Read More..
This idea came fairly quickly when i went to bed last night. My first thought that I actually began to rough out was a 3d scenarior but i discarded it because I felt it was too “sappy" to waste my time on a single drawing that flashed into my mind. well, here is a much simpler but a very cool one i created within about 2hrs i guess. Over the few years i’ve tried quite a few browsers and in terms of speed nothing beats Opera. Opera browser is renowned for its speed, security and standards compliance. and I must say that there are several features in the recent releases that have really impressed me.
One is what Opera calls Mouse Gestures. By clicking a mouse button and moving the mouse in the prescribed direction at the same time, you can navigate quite easily and do some pretty cool things.
Opera’s web site thoroughly explains the mouse gestures and breaks them down into four categories: Navigation, link, windows and wheel.
For example, here is the Back Navigation Gesture:
To move back to the previous page – right-click on the current page and move your mouse to the left.
Once you get the hang of it, it is really pretty cool. if you havn't tried Opera yet, i recomment to hop over there and check it out. i'm sure you'll love it. Download Opera! Click Here to Read More..

Here is an illustration i photoshopped just after my remarkable trip to Nuwara-eliya. it shows the beauty of the upcountry site of Sri Lanka. those two people enjoying up there is me and my gf. Enjoy! View the full image here.

Whenever i come across a SriLankan friend, the very first thing they ask is "have you been to Nuwaraeliya?” and thats why, ever since i came to Sri Lanka, i 've wanted to go on a journey to Srilanka’s “Up Country”. They always speaks of the cold weather of Nuwaraeliya, but for me, i thought “hey how can that place be so called when its burning here (in Colombo)”. Also one of my Maldivian colleague told me that the clouds touchs the earth and described how close they were to the clounds. Hmm... this again I refused to believe.
Anyways here is my story. Our trip came up unexpectedly. It wasn’t well planned. The thing is some of my friends still haven’t got there semister break and we had approximately 48 hours to do what ever we want. We (me, my gf and some of her friends and one of my Srilankan buddy Buhdhikka) started our descovery journey to the “up country” about 4:30am. After about one hour of uninspiring view of heavy traffic, a picturesque view, with beautiful trees, magical landscape, and most importantly the tea plantations that surround the only high way to Nuwaraeliya. As we drove upto the mountains my heart flutters , and was giddy with excitement.
After countless days of patience (literally :D), we finally reach our destination. After we went to our Beach Bangalore, we again rushed to see the Horton Plains: i can say that this is best part of my trip. We went to see the Worlds End, after that we climed some mountains to reach the Bakers Fall. After afew hours of exploring the beauty of this tropical area, we head back to our beach Bangalore to rest for the night.
That night it was so cold that i couln’t even sleep proparly. I walked up early morning around 5:30am and yes it was freezing out there. I came across a phenomenon i had never seen before. I saw the clouds rolling in, the light inside the sanctuary was fading fast, It seemed that time has stopped. After afew minutes the whole area was full of mist. The scene was Sureal. Here it seems that every ray of light reflects off a rain drop. Yet the drops of rain are so fine, so small they do not fall but form a cloud. A cloud that is not in the sky but one the surface of the land.
Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time so we had to pass the most beautiful garden in Srilanka, Hakgala Garden. Hopefully we will go to Hakgala Garden on our next visit to Nuwareliya. Photo's of my trip is available in my flickr Gallery. Click Here to Read More..
Are you a Programmer? or a Network Administrator? or may be you don't have any skills in creating web graphics! Don't you worry my friends. Here is something that might interest you. its a programe that can be used to create surprisingly beautiful graphical images with afew code lines. The so called CFDG is a simple language for generating stunning images. With only a few lines you can describe abstract art, beautiful organic scenery, and many kinds of fractals. It's highly addictive! find more about this at Contextfreeart.
For example, the above image has been created by the following code line:
