What do you think of my new blog design? It was actually completed afew days ago but I had to make sure it works fine with the top web browsers; opera, firefox, chrome and internet explorer. Surely still there are afew minor defects (that I hope you won’t recognize).

While the look has been transformed quite a bit, the idea was to keep the elements I liked from the old cobbled together theme while making the whole thing work and not appear so clumsy. That’s the main reason why I used a pre-coded bloggy (thnxs to falconhive).

Anyways, I guess I must publicize my old blogger theme for free download. So keep in touch folks.

Here's my old bloggy;

Yesterday I logged on to my deviantART page and was astonished to see loads of unread comments in my inbox. It turns out that I received my first DD on the free-hand icon set. I actually made this icon set for my personal use; to theme up conky on my ubuntu desktop. Anyway I’m glad that it got DD. I'm so thankful to =eos8 for suggesting it and ^yingjunjiu for featuring it as a DD.

Btw, Thanks for all the watches, Favs and comments! Really appreciate it.

Ubuntu-Desk-Top. This style can be created with afew tweaks to your desktop. To get the exact look-and-feel, you must have the Ubuntu-Desk-Top wallpaper I designed exclusively for my ubuntu desktop. Get the Wallpaper Here..

I have used conky to print out system stats and weather on the notebook Just below that, conky prints out my unread emails on an envolope, following the system date and Calendar. To get the exact look, you'll need the customized conky script here.

Hand watch displays current time (note that its not just an image, I have used MacSlow's cairo-clock to look like a watch).

Use AWN or any other docks, make it's theme transparent. Download and assign Color-Stroked hand drawn icon set I designed for this style. (Photograph, notebook-Links, Coffee-Break Links directs to relevant apps and folders). For this, you can download and edit the PSD files here.

I still haven't got the audio player (zune on Desk-Top) to work. However, if we call in amarok (my fav audio player) using conky, its all done.

Here, I would like to introduce you to two open-source graphics editing programs that are worth taking for a spin.

1. Actually, I have been using the free, open-source graphics editor, Gimp for quite some time and I can tell it’s as good as Photoshop in many ways. The new 2.6 version support for 32 bits per color channel and a new GEGL-based backend, polygonal and sectional selection with the Free Select Tool, docked tools, and menus, and a "brush dynamics" sub-menu that gives creators serious control over their pixel-pushing tools. Try Gimp!

2. Inkscape is another lovely, free, open-source vector editing program that you could use instead of Adobe Illustrator. I’m not a hardcore illustrator but as far as I can tell, all the tools and functions that you would ever need for your designing purposes are available on Inkscape too. Check out the Inkscape gallery at Deviant Art to see how lovable it can be.

GIMP and Inkscape are two free programs that you must take a spin at. Installation Packages are available for Windows, Mac, or Linux platforms. Go give it a try | Gimp 2.6 | Inkscape >>

“From today onwards we'll keep on fighting to keep our pride, till the end”.

I dunno, that's what popped into my head when I saw the unexpected pleasure and delirious supporters crowded into main roads to welcome the Maldivian National Team carrying the SAFF championship 2008. It looks fine as a desktop wallpaper too. Hope you’ll like it.

So Once again Congratulations to the Team.

As promised, here is the new blogger interface. This blogger interface is for everyone who is bored of the standard interfaces used by blogger. The New Bronzed Blogger Interface represents the Bronze Age or the Copper-Stone Age. The design itself explains everything. I spend hours working on this so hope it’s worth the time.

I have changed my Previous Blogger template to the Brozed Template so I guess my blog is more than enough for a live demo. :D

Enjoy Blogger 2.0 with my unique blogger interfaces. Enjoy!

Audee is the man behind the GRAPHIC IDENTITY Blog. He is a Graphic Designer and often writes tutorials and reviews on his Blog mostly about Photoshop & Illustrator, Digital Graphic Art, Photography, Web Design, Font or Typography.

He writes review of those who has advance skill in Art. But surprisingly he had featured my blog in his website.I never thought someone like him would feature my blog. I mean I’m an ordinary guy like most of you though I do art (drawing, painting, and designing) as a leisure activity. And trust me at first I never thought any one would admire my art works except my academy teachers and threw away 3 years of work I had saved. Well actually my little sis saved my last drawing book until recently she gave it to one of her teachers.

Audee, Keep up the dynamic work and thank you very much for featuring me. I really appreciate it.

I made this Concept on request of a Fantasy Writer from Czech Republic, who wanted me to paint this character for a book he’s about to publish within afew months.
I had never done a character designing for a novel before. So I’m not sure if the Author of this book gonna like my one although he says it’s perfect.

The writer explains the characteristics of this illustration as follows…
1. The illustrated person is one of the main heroes in his book. He is a wind-type Elementalist ( Which is a person using elemental powers of wind ).

2. He is like 16 years old, has long light-blue (almost fading blue) hair, long enough that it covers his back.

3. His clothes are colored bright purple, he wears a long T-shirt and pants. His shoes are black and they aren't any special. (No converses, skater boots. Just simple shoes.)

4. On his face, we can see a cheesy smile. In his right hand he holds a spear with a big triangle tip. In the triangle that forms the tip of the spear is another one, which is colored in fading purple/blue.

5. He looks as if floating, and below the picture is written: ''Tomáš'' ( Czech type of the name ''Thomas'' )

you are free to download and use this cool blogger templete. will appreciate if you add a link back to me. well, atleast add me in your buddy links :D

Templete Name: The Maldivian.
As most of you will know, there is a very famous Political website called The Maldivian, but my template doesn't have anything to do with that site. I just gave the name "The Maldivian" becasue this template shows a Maldivian girl wearing the Traditional Dress (Libaas). Hope you'll like it.

Yesterday I met one of my (Sri Lankan) friends relative and we discussed about my dumping PC. Including him, I have got 2 people who are willing to buy my PC for $1500. So I guess I’ll sell it for $1500. Anyways, after we had alittle chit chat he asked me if I had a business card or something. And obviously I said I don’t.. So later I thought to design a business card and I made afew. But unfortunately it’s no need for an ordinary guy like me. But anyway I would like to share what I created with you guys. Enjoy!
